Privacy Policy

TradeEagle is the data controller for personal data processed through TradeEagle (https://tradeeagle.co.uk). We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact for any privacy matter: lewiscraig2808@icloud.com.
1. What we collect
Account data (name, email, password — stored only as a secure hash), business data you enter (customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, expenses, payments — including personal data about your own customers that you choose to record), billing metadata from Stripe (we never see or store card numbers), and — only with your consent — anonymous product analytics.
2. How we use it
To provide the service (dashboards, alerts, reports, AI adviser answers about your own business), to operate billing and account security, and to respond to support requests. Lawful bases: performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, and legal obligations (e.g. accounting records).
3. Who processes your data (subprocessors)
Hosting and database: Emergent (cloud infrastructure). Payments: Stripe. Transactional email: Resend (sent via Emergent's email relay). AI adviser: Anthropic (your questions and relevant business figures are processed to generate answers; they are not used to train models). Analytics: PostHog — only if you accept analytics cookies. We do not sell your data to anyone.
4. International transfers
Some subprocessors process data outside the UK. Where they do, transfers rely on adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses as required by UK GDPR.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active. If your trial ends without subscribing, your data is retained (read-only) so you can return. When you delete your account we permanently delete your business's data; encrypted backups expire within 14 days. Billing records may be kept longer where tax law requires.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, object to processing of, and erase your personal data. Export and erasure are self-service in Settings (Export my data / Delete my account); for anything else email lewiscraig2808@icloud.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
7. Security
Passwords are hashed, sessions use secure httpOnly cookies, all traffic is encrypted in transit, and every business's records are isolated from every other business's. See our cookie policy for cookie details.
8. AI and automated processing
The AI adviser processes your data to answer your questions. It does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effect about you. AI-generated insights are guidance only — not financial, tax or legal advice.
