Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of TradeEagle (https://tradeeagle.co.uk), a business intelligence service for UK trade businesses, provided by TradeEagle ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
1. The service
TradeEagle reads the jobs, quotes, invoices, expenses and payment records you enter, and turns them into alerts, reports and AI-generated suggestions. We provide software tools only — we do not provide accountancy, tax, legal or financial services.
2. Your account
You must keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. One account is one business; you may invite team members, and you are responsible for their activity on your account.
3. Subscription and billing
New accounts include a 14-day free trial — no card required. Paid plans are billed monthly in GBP via Stripe (Standard £39/month; Founding 50 £9.99/month for the first 50 businesses, locked for life; extra team members £15/month each). When your trial ends your account becomes read-only until you subscribe — your data is never deleted on trial expiry. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; you keep full access until the end of the paid period.
4. AI-generated insights are guidance, not advice
Anything the TradeEagle adviser, alerts or insights produce is generated by AI from your records and is for general guidance only. It is not financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and must not be relied on as such. Always check decisions with a qualified professional (for example your accountant or HMRC) before acting.
5. Your data and acceptable use
You retain all rights to the business data you enter. You must only enter data you are entitled to process, must not use the service unlawfully, and must not attempt to access another business's data. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may update the service and these terms; material changes will be flagged in the app or by email.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded under English law. Otherwise, to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including lost profit), and our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Cancellation and deletion
You can export all of your data and permanently delete your account at any time from Settings. On deletion we cancel any active subscription and remove your business's data, subject to backup retention (backups expire within 14 days).
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
